2960S stack low-memory ( ssh/console )

A problem has developed in a cisco 2960S stack with 3x member switches that seems to be  effecting all remote-access outside of  SNMP polling.

1st the uptime,  code & cpu history;

193+ days uptime

Here's what happens we try to login via the console ( ssh  was a quick disconnect )

Very bad,  but the switch is running 100% & does not seem effected outside of remote ssh access.

  1. Cisco IOS is famous with memory leaks due to SNMP. The moment you enable SNMP it would start leaking memory byte by byte and it 3 months it will get to 99%. Once it gets to that point it will start loosing services one by one until it totally crashes.
