Ipv6 routing ASR9K 4.2.3 ospfv3.

In this post we will look at a simple ipv6 ospfv3 routing instance and AF-ipv6-unicast.

 In this post we have a cisco ASA5558 connected to a ASR9K.

The ASR9K ( IOS-XR 4.2.3 ) has a simple ipv6 address and router instance installed;

And for the interface we have the basic interface level configuration;

config t
  interface TenGigE0/1/0/1
  ipv6 address 2001:db8::1/64
  ipv6 enable
commit

The ASA5558 ( 9.1.2 )  also has a router instance;

and interface

Simple, we have just configured OSPFv3 on a cisco ASA and ASR pair. Not bad and very simple to deploy. Keep this thought  in mind, OSPFv3  requires a ipv4 address for the router-id.
